Database Administrator- Sybase

W2 Rate - $42/hr (NO 1099/NO C2C/No Third Party)

Onsite position

Required skills:

• 5+ years of Database Administration / DBA experience
• Sybase ASE, IQ & Replication — v12/v15/v16
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) v5–v8
• IBM DB2 / UDB — HADR, database design, development, maintenance
• Experience with database implementation, migration, upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Strong DBA troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Banking/financial services domain experience
• Bash scripting and job scheduling — AutoSys, Cron
• Ability to work with global/technical teams
• Bachelor’s degree

Day to Day

• Provide database administration and production support across global environments.
• Support Sybase ASE, Sybase IQ, Sybase Replication, DB2/UDB, PostgreSQL, Hadoop, SQL Server, MongoDB, and Oracle.
• Monitor database infrastructure, alerts, incidents, and perform troubleshooting/root cause analysis.
• Manage AutoSys scheduling, maintenance jobs, provisioning, user requests, and database operational tasks.
• Support Business Continuity/DR testing and database infrastructure across multiple regions.
• Work with application and IT support teams to resolve critical issues and requests.
• Follow change management procedures and create operational policies/procedures.
• Support database projects including data center migrations and database/hardware upgrades or end-of-life initiatives.
