Job Title: Cloud Engineer 

Location: Remote; Plano, TX or McLean, VA preferred

Duration: 14 months

Pay Rate: $70 - $80/HR (W2 Only)

Candidates will be required to complete a Glider Assessment for submission

Job/Role Description:

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects as part of an engineering team focused on cryptography, data protection, distributed systems, and cloud-based security solutions.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity Product Managers, architects, and engineering teams to design and deliver comprehensive cloud-based security solutions.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for a mission-critical data protection environment utilizing Protegrity Data Encryption and Tokenization solutions.
• Assess security risks related to data confidentiality and integrity by identifying vulnerabilities and evaluating cryptographic and cybersecurity threats.
• Design and implement robust cryptographic solutions using encryption, hashing, digital signatures, and secure key management techniques to protect sensitive data.
• Develop and enhance enterprise governance frameworks for cryptography, including policies, standards, and guidelines that support consistency, compliance, and auditability.
• Manage and support Protegrity Data Protection solutions within a large Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) server environment.
• Develop and maintain Ansible automation to support lifecycle management of Protegrity agent software.
• Utilize Terraform Enterprise to support AWS serverless deployments and integrations with Protegrity Cloud Protector.
• Implement and support Protegrity Fuse File Encryption technologies for data-at-rest protection.
• Maintain, enhance, and support Protegrity Data Protection policies.
• Support integrations between Protegrity and enterprise data management platforms such as Snowflake and Teradata.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to technical communities while helping mentor other members of the engineering team.
• Develop, review, or evaluate code and scripts as required to support security engineering and automation initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• At least 2 years of experience with cryptography or cryptography-related technologies.
• At least 3 years of Cybersecurity Engineering experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with cloud-native technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• At least 2 years of Unix or Linux system administration experience.
• At least 2 years of SELinux experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with Protegrity Data Protection solutions.
• At least 2 years of DevOps experience utilizing Ansible Automation Platform.
• At least 2 years of experience utilizing Terraform Enterprise.
• Strong understanding of data protection, encryption, tokenization, and cryptographic security concepts.
• Experience supporting enterprise security solutions in mission-critical environments.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, cybersecurity, architecture, and product teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years of Cybersecurity Engineering experience.
• 4+ years of experience with the Protegrity Data Protection Platform.
• 3+ years of coding or scripting experience using technologies such as Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, Golang, Bash, Perl, or Ruby.
• 2+ years of experience with Linux file system technologies and concepts such as FUSE, GPFS, and NFS.
• 2+ years of experience with Linux storage subsystems, clustering, high availability, fault tolerance, and replication concepts.
• 3+ years of experience with DevOps principles and Agile development practices.
• Experience integrating enterprise data protection solutions with platforms such as Snowflake and Teradata.
• Experience with AWS serverless technologies and Protegrity Cloud Protector.
