Job Title: Equities Execution Client Operations Analyst

Location: New York, NY

Duration: 6 Months

Pay Rate: $33/hr W2

Job/Role Description:

• This role supports Equities Execution Client Operations by providing post-trade services for Sales and Trading desks.
• Support the booking and settlement of equity trades while helping ensure the accuracy of client books and records.
• Perform post-trade operational activities including trade processing, settlement, reconciliation, and risk management.
• Work directly with custodians, issuers, and external brokers to resolve issues related to Standing Settlement Instructions (SSI), trade settlement, and outstanding cash or stock breaks.
• Investigate exceptions within internal books and records, identify appropriate resolutions, and escalate issues as necessary.
• Research and respond to operational queries and resolve issues that arise throughout the trade lifecycle.
• Monitor and reconcile trade activity to identify discrepancies and potential operational or financial risk.
• Partner with internal teams and external counterparties to facilitate timely and accurate settlement of transactions.
• Analyze existing processes and procedures to identify opportunities to reduce risk, eliminate repetitive work, and improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain a strong focus on operational controls, risk management, and the accuracy of books and records.
• Help drive superior operational and client service outcomes through effective communication and collaboration.
• Manage multiple processing deadlines throughout the day in a fast-paced financial-services environment.
• Support small projects and operational initiatives and help implement process improvements within a consensus-driven environment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Strong attention to detail with a risk- and control-focused mindset
• Ability to investigate discrepancies, exceptions, and operational issues and identify appropriate resolutions
• Ability to present complex information in a structured, clear, and concise manner
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple processing deadlines throughout the day
