Senior Retirement Plan Recordkeeper

Location: Remote
Contract Length: 4 Months
Pay Rate: $25.60-32.28
Work Arrangement: 100% Remote

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Recordkeeper to provide service and administrative support for large and complex defined contribution retirement plan clients. This role is responsible for processing plan transactions, reconciling plan and trust balances, preparing reports, supporting compliance activities, and responding to client requests.

The ideal candidate will have strong retirement plan recordkeeping experience, excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently while working effectively with clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide service and administrative support to large and complex defined contribution plan clients.

  • Respond to client requests for information and resolve administrative or service-related issues.

  • Process retirement plan transactions, including:

    • Contributions

    • Loans

    • Withdrawals

    • Earnings allocations

  • Format and load plan data into applicable systems.

  • Perform and analyze required testing for defined contribution plans and plan design issues, including discrimination testing.

  • Request, review, and interpret plan data.

  • Present results to clients and provide recovery recommendations when appropriate.

  • Reconcile trust accounting and recordkeeping systems at the plan level.

  • Reconcile plan balances to trust balances through daily balancing and adjustment analysis.

  • Prepare reconciliation reports and analyze transactions by type.

  • Coordinate omnibus fund purchases and sales with third-party fund companies.

  • Format and produce client reports, including:

    • Valuation reports

    • Participant statements

    • Investment performance reports

    • Tax and compliance documentation

  • Participate in client meetings and conference calls.

  • Maintain strong trustee relationships.

  • Discuss plan design, trust reconciliation, payroll consultation, and other retirement plan service issues with clients.

  • Support training and knowledge-sharing activities.

  • Manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and service.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in retirement plan recordkeeping, defined contribution plans, or a closely related field.

  • Strong understanding of defined contribution plan administration and transactions.

  • Experience with plan reconciliation and trust accounting.

  • Experience processing or supporting contributions, loans, withdrawals, and earnings allocations.

  • Experience working with plan data, reporting, and transaction analysis.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and document review skills.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Demonstrated leadership and training skills.
