Junior Data Engineer

Location: Plano, TX
Duration: 4 months

We are seeking a Junior Data Engineer with a solid understanding of data warehousing and cloud data solutions. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of data engineering experience, including hands-on work with Snowflake, Python, and SQL.

This is an onsite, contract-to-hire position. Candidates must be eligible for conversion to permanent employment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the design, structure, and maintenance of relational databases, data warehouses, and cloud-based data solutions.
• Develop and maintain data models, pipelines, and logical workflows.
• Help ensure organizational data is accurate, accessible, reliable, and appropriately structured.
• Write and optimize SQL queries and Python-based data processes.
• Support Snowflake development, administration, and data integration activities.
• Collaborate with data architects, engineers, analysts, and other technology professionals.
• Translate technical requirements and complex data concepts for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Create clear visualizations and documentation for data models, workflows, and solution designs.
• Troubleshoot data issues and contribute to creative, scalable solutions.

Required Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in data engineering or a related technical role.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Python, and SQL.
• Working knowledge of data warehousing concepts and cloud data platforms.
• Familiarity with relational database design, data modeling, and logical workflows.
• Understanding of data accuracy, accessibility, and quality principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work successfully as part of a larger information technology team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with XML or other data-oriented languages and formats.
• Experience creating technical diagrams or data visualizations.
• Familiarity with data architecture principles and scalable cloud-based data solutions.
