Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst Regulatory & Compliance to support strategic regulatory initiatives within the Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) organization. This role is ideal for a highly analytical professional who excels at interpreting complex regulatory requirements, assessing business impacts, and translating them into actionable business and functional requirements.
This is a true Business Analyst position focused on business analysis, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory compliancenot project management. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently, ask insightful questions, and perform detailed analysis to uncover root causes and business impacts.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze new and evolving regulatory requirements and assess their impact across business, technology, legal, compliance, and operations teams.
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather, document, validate, and refine detailed business and functional requirements.
- Translate complex regulatory guidance into clear, actionable business processes and technology requirements.
- Support regulatory-driven initiatives by ensuring compliance objectives, business needs, and delivery timelines remain aligned.
- Perform business process analysis to identify regulatory impacts, operational risks, gaps, and dependencies.
- Support regulatory reporting initiatives through data analysis, documentation, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) business partners, compliance teams, technology organizations, and operations to ensure successful implementation of regulatory changes.
- Produce high-quality business documentation including business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, gap analyses, and traceability matrices.
- Work within established service level agreements (SLAs) while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced regulatory environment.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, requirements workshops, and discussions to drive consensus and solution alignment.
- Provide analytical support throughout the project lifecycle, including testing support, issue resolution, and implementation activities.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Business Analyst experience within financial services, banking, or a highly regulated industry.
- Strong experience supporting regulatory and compliance initiatives, including U.S. and/or global regulatory programs.
- Experience with regulatory reporting, data analysis, and regulatory change management.
- Solid understanding of financial markets, banking operations, and Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) products and processes.
- Proven ability to assess the business impact of regulatory changes across multiple functional areas.
- Strong requirements gathering, documentation, and business process analysis skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while effectively managing relationships with business and technology stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities with the capability to investigate complex business issues beyond surface-level analysis.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with experience presenting findings to diverse audiences.
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite:
- Experience creating business documentation, process flows, requirements matrices, and analytical reports.
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret and validate regulatory reporting data.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) organizations.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks affecting financial institutions.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams across Compliance, Risk, Legal, Operations, and Technology.
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), requirements traceability, and implementation readiness.
