Scrum Master

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Contract

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery teams in driving predictable, high-quality software delivery while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This leadership role is responsible for facilitating Agile ceremonies, coaching cross-functional teams, removing impediments, and ensuring alignment with enterprise Agile standards and best practices.

The ideal candidate is a servant leader with exceptional facilitation, coaching, and communication skills who can effectively partner with Product Owners, Engineering leaders, and stakeholders to maximize team performance and business value.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience serving as a Scrum Master supporting Agile software development teams.
  • Deep knowledge of Scrum, Agile principles, Lean practices, and iterative software delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience coaching Agile teams toward higher maturity and improved delivery outcomes.
  • Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, servant leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing cross-functional dependencies across multiple teams.
  • Expertise using Jira for Agile project management, dashboard creation, reporting, and workflow automation.
  • Experience analyzing Agile metrics to improve delivery performance and team effectiveness.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with Product, Engineering, and executive leadership.
  • Ability to identify risks, remove impediments, and drive teams toward predictable delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or equivalent Agile certification.
  • Experience working in large enterprise Agile environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile scaling frameworks such as SAFe, LeSS, or Scrum@Scale.
  • Experience supporting DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-based software delivery.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), release management, and quality assurance processes.
  • Experience using Agile analytics tools such as Jira Align, Azure DevOps, Rally, or similar platforms.
