Project Coordinator – Firewall Infrastructure (Contract)

Location: Las Colinas, TX (Preferred) or Charlotte, NC
Duration: 12+ Month Contract 
Pay: $55 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support our Firewall Engineering organization by coordinating infrastructure hardware implementation projects from planning through completion.

This is not a hands-on engineering role. Instead, you'll serve as the central point of coordination between firewall engineers, business partners, customers, and project stakeholders, ensuring implementation activities remain on schedule while maintaining clear communication and accurate documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

This opportunity is ideal for someone with experience coordinating network, infrastructure, or hardware implementation projects who enjoys driving collaboration across multiple technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate firewall and network hardware implementation projects from initiation through completion.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, implementation timelines, and deployment plans.
• Create, manage, and track infrastructure change requests.
• Coordinate activities across engineering teams, business stakeholders, customers, and vendors.
• Lead project meetings, implementation calls, change reviews, and cutover activities.
• Document meeting minutes, action items, risks, and project decisions.
• Maintain implementation documentation, design artifacts, and project records.
• Monitor project milestones and proactively communicate status updates.
• Ensure all stakeholders remain aligned throughout implementation activities.
• Support multiple concurrent infrastructure projects while maintaining accuracy and organization.

Required Qualifications

• Experience coordinating hardware infrastructure implementation projects (network, firewall, server, storage, or data center environments).
• Strong project coordination or project management experience.
• Experience managing project schedules and implementation plans.
• Knowledge of infrastructure change management processes.
• Experience facilitating meetings and documenting action items.
• Ability to coordinate technical engineers, business partners, customers, and cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Preferred Qualifications

• Financial services industry experience
• Experience supporting firewall or network infrastructure environments
• Exposure to Cisco networking technologies
• Firewall refresh or migration projects
• Data center migration projects
• PMP Certification
• Experience coordinating large-scale hardware implementation projects
