Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote)
Duration: 18+ Month Contract

Overview
Seeking an experienced cybersecurity professional to support enterprise-wide cyber resilience, incident response preparedness, and cybersecurity exercise programs within a large financial services environment.
This role will execute the full lifecycle of cybersecurity exercises, including planning, design, development, facilitation, and post-exercise evaluation. The individual will work across business and technology teams to strengthen cyber incident response capabilities, improve organizational resilience, and communicate lessons learned to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
The ideal candidate combines cybersecurity operations knowledge with strong program management, stakeholder engagement, and strategic communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, coordinate, facilitate, and evaluate cybersecurity exercises and tabletop simulations
- Support cyber resilience initiatives focused on incident response readiness and organizational preparedness
- Lead exercise planning activities involving technology, security, risk, business, and executive stakeholders
- Develop realistic cyber incident scenarios and assessment frameworks
- Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinate communications and reporting across multiple business units
- Support workforce development, cybersecurity training, and professional development initiatives
- Develop metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and executive reporting related to exercise effectiveness and cyber readiness
- Partner with cybersecurity, technology, business continuity, risk, and executive leadership teams
- Assist with strategic planning initiatives supporting enterprise cybersecurity resilience programs
- Represent cybersecurity teams in cross-functional working groups and industry collaboration efforts
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of Information Security, Cybersecurity, or Cyber Resilience experience
- Experience supporting incident response, cyber defense, security operations, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, penetration testing, business continuity, or related security disciplines
- Experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience facilitating meetings, workshops, exercises, or training programs
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience developing reports, metrics, KPIs, and executive-level presentations

- Experience creating assessment exercises, simulations, or readiness programs
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices
- Experience working within large banking, financial services, insurance, or highly regulated environments
