This role supports Finance Technology outcomes aligned to Enterprise Risk, Audit, and Finance functions, with direct support for critical finance, investment, and risk application platforms operating in a highly regulated environment.
The Scrum Master drives disciplined Agile execution with a strong emphasis on SDLC rigor, release management, and operational readiness; this position goes beyond facilitation and requires deep understanding of end-to-end software delivery, release orchestration, and production support within enterprise financial systems.
Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, ensuring consistent execution and delivery of committed sprint goals.
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies that drive decisions, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Coach teams and Product Owners using delivery metrics, flow analysis, and data-driven insights to deliver incremental business value.
Manage and coordinate release planning, timelines, dependencies, risks, and cutovers across multiple teams.
Ensure operational readiness for releases, including non-functional requirements (NFRs), monitoring and alerting, runbooks, and knowledge transfer to L1/L2 support teams.
Maintain strong Jira hygiene, including accurate work capture, status reporting, dependency tracking, and capacity planning; produce dashboards and reports that provide transparency into delivery health and forecasting.
Identify cross-team dependencies and blockers early and drive them through resolution.
Build strong partnerships with Product, Engineering, Finance Technology stakeholders, and support teams; facilitate Scrum of Scrums and multi-team coordination forums.
Drive release cadence discipline, escalation management, and proactive stakeholder communications.
Partner with engineering teams to promote modern delivery practices such as CI/CD and automation.
This role requires a delivery leader who understands how software is built, released, supported, and governed in a high-stakes financial environment; it is not suited for candidates with solely lightweight Agile facilitation experience or limited SDLC/release exposure.
Required Qualifications
Strong SDLC and release management background within enterprise technology environments.
Demonstrated experience managing releases in regulated or risk-sensitive environments.
Proven Scrum Master experience supporting complex delivery (hands-on SDLC and release management experience required; facilitation-only experience is not a fit).
CSM or PSM certification required.
Advanced proficiency with Jira for Agile delivery management, reporting, and forecasting.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Highly self-motivated and directed with strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
Experience supporting Controllers, Treasury, Finance, Risk, or Audit technology platforms a plus.
Background in banking or financial services technology environments a plus.
Experience working with investment management or finance platforms such as SimCorp a plus.
