Job Title: Project Manager
Contract Length: 12+ Months
Location: St Louis, MO 63101
3 days onsite / 2 days remote (no fully remote option)

This role provides project leadership for a Maxit Cost Basis implementation, coordinating across business, technology, data, and vendor workstreams.

The Project Manager is responsible for driving execution, managing dependencies, resolving risks/issues, and ensuring successful delivery through production and stabilization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of the Maxit Cost Basis implementation
• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, and dependencies
• Coordinate closely with third-party vendors (Maxit) on deliverables and issue resolution
• Manage system integration, testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases
• Oversee cutover planning, production readiness, and post-go-live stabilization
• Track and manage risks, issues, and dependencies across workstreams
• Provide executive-level status reporting and governance updates
• Ensure adherence to project management standards, controls, and delivery frameworks

Required Qualifications (HARD REQUIREMENTS)

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field
• 5+ years Project Management experience (ignore the generic 2+ baseline — not realistic for this role)
• Proven experience managing financial systems implementations
• Experience leading vendor-driven implementations
• Strong knowledge of:
• Project governance
• Risk & issue management
• Delivery controls
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills

Desired Qualifications (STRONG PREFERENCES)

• Experience with cost basis platforms (Maxit preferred)
• Background in:
• Cost basis processing
• Tax reporting
• Securities operations
• Experience in regulated financial environments
• PMP, Prince2, or similar certification
• Experience working in hybrid Agile / Waterfall environments
• Exposure to regulatory reporting, audits, or tax operations

Hard Fail Screening Rules (Use This Internally)

Reject immediately if:

• No financial systems implementation experience
• No vendor management experience
• Pure Agile PM with no enterprise delivery exposure
• No experience in regulated environments (banking, finance, tax, etc.)
• Junior PMs (<5 years real experience)

What a Strong Candidate Looks Like

• Has led large financial platform implementations
• Comfortable managing vendors + internal teams simultaneously
• Understands compliance-heavy environments
• Can speak to UAT, cutover, and production readiness in detail
• Has worked on tax, securities, or cost basis systems
