Job Title: Junior UX Designer (Mobile)
Location: San Antonio, TX or Plano, TX (Hybrid – onsite a few days/week)
Duration: Contract
Rate:$35-$40+/Hr
Overview
We are seeking a Junior UX Designer to join a fast-paced, collaborative design team focused on creating innovative, user-centered digital experiences. This role is ideal for early-career designers who are passionate about mobile design, user research, and emerging AI-driven experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply human-centered design methodologies (e.g., Double Diamond, Design Thinking) throughout the design lifecycle
- Design intuitive mobile user experiences (iOS/Android) from concept to prototype
- Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using modern design tools
- Conduct and synthesize user research (interviews, usability testing, feedback analysis)
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, data teams, and legal stakeholders
- Incorporate data insights and user feedback to refine and validate designs
- Participate in design critiques and iterate based on feedback
- Support senior designers with research, documentation, and design execution
- Explore and contribute to AI-driven user experience innovation
Required Qualifications
- Foundational experience in UX/UI design (0–3 years, internships or academic projects accepted)
- Understanding of human-centered design principles (Double Diamond / Design Thinking)
- Experience designing for mobile applications
- Proficiency with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or Mural
- Exposure to user research methods (usability testing, interviews, etc.)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills
- Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design process and UI work
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest or exposure to AI tools in design workflows
- Background in graphic design or motion/animation
- Experience working in cross-functional product teams
