Engineering Support Specialist (CAD/Drafting)
Glen Carbon, IL – Hybrid (3 days a week in-office)
W2 contract role
12+ Months with potential to extend or convert to FTE
Pay Rate: $33-36/HR

Role Summary:

The Engineering Support Specialist is responsible for supporting a variety of tasks within EMS engineering. The position is intended to relieve the design engineers from some job tasks that do not require an engineering degree, but require technical knowledge and/or experience.

Key responsibilities include:

• Update EMS model using graphical and textual editors
• Assisting with data management
• Prior drafting/CAD or creating operator displays is strongly preferred.
• Electric utility experience is preferred.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree required (Bachelor's degree preferred) in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, CAD, or other computer-related degree.
• Two or more years working with databases or CAD is preferred.
• Three or more years of electrical (e.g., electrician, wiremen) related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic electrical theory and relevant experience working with electrical prints and diagrams is preferred.
