Job Title: Claims Operations Analyst

Location: San Antonio, TX: (REMOTE)
Duration: 7-month contract (05/04/2026 – 12/31/2026)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hours/week


Position Overview

We are seeking detail-oriented Insurance Operations Analysts to support back-office functions within a claims-focused environment. This role will focus on ensuring accuracy, compliance, and quality across claims processing, underwriting support, and policy servicing activities.

The ideal candidate has experience in insurance operations, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage high-volume administrative and claims-related tasks.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform back-office insurance operations across claims, underwriting support, and policy servicing
  • Review and process claims, including identifying issues such as duplicate payments or incorrect payees
  • Conduct file reviews to ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation
  • Support claim remediation activities and exception handling
  • Gather and validate information for new business setup and policy renewals
  • Assist with agency onboarding, licensing procedures, and related inquiries
  • Review applications for completeness and upload into document management systems
  • Support underwriting and post-underwriting processes, including risk classification
  • Perform policy servicing tasks such as renewals, changes, reinstatements, and disbursements
  • Document processes and create step-by-step SOPs
  • Maintain accurate records and update claims systems with notes and actions
  • Collaborate with team members and process leads to manage workflow and priorities

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in insurance back-office operations (claims, underwriting, policy servicing, or agency support)
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when analyzing claims data
  • Basic experience with root cause analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a structured, high-volume environment
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter (GWCC) or similar claims management systems (preferred)
  • Ability to navigate document management and workflow systems

Day-to-Day Activities

  • Conduct detailed file and claims reviews to identify errors or process gaps
  • Document workflows and maintain SOPs
  • Perform administrative updates within claims systems (notes, forms, communications)
  • Support compliance and quality assurance through remediation efforts
  • Handle manual processes and exception cases as needed
