Job Title: ServiceNow Software Engineer IV (Specialty Applications)

Location: Charlotte, NC – 1525 W W T Harris Blvd OR Irving, TX
Duration: 12-month contract (potential for extension or conversion)
Work Schedule: (Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite. Must already be local; no relocation.)

Role Overview

We are seeking a senior‑level ServiceNow Developer to join an established enterprise applications team supporting critical ServiceNow platforms. The role focuses on hands‑on development and support of two primary applications built on ServiceNow:

• Enterprise Services Portfolio (ESP) – a custom‑built ServiceNow application
• Business Continuity Management (BCM) – ServiceNow OOTB module customized to meet enterprise operational resiliency requirements

The team has been consolidated into a single global group, and team members are expected to support both applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain ServiceNow applications, primarily ESP (custom) and BCM (Operational Resiliency)
• Perform hands‑on ServiceNow development including scripting, workflows, integrations, and enhancements
• Support and maintain multiple integrations across the platform
• Work closely with leads and peers in a collaborative, team‑based model
• Participate in technical discussions, troubleshooting, and ongoing platform improvements
• Follow enterprise standards for code quality, security, and platform governance
• Support upgrades, defect fixes, and production support as needed

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands‑on ServiceNow development experience
• Strong technical expertise in ServiceNow development (not an admin‑only role)
• Experience working with custom ServiceNow applications and out‑of‑box modules
• Solid understanding of integrations within ServiceNow
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – required at time of interview
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) – required at time of interview
• Ability to work in a hybrid model (3 days onsite per week)
• Must be based in or able to commute to Charlotte, NC or Dallas/Irving, TX

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Experience with Business Continuity Management (BCM) or Operational Resiliency
• Prior experience working with custom‑built applications on the ServiceNow platform
• Previous full‑stack Java development experience
• Experience supporting enterprise or large‑scale ServiceNow implementations

Interview Process

• One 45‑minute virtual panel interview
• Interview will be technical‑focused, led by the hiring manager and team leads
• Questions will center on ServiceNow development skills and experience
• No whiteboarding or live coding
• Camera‑on interview is required

Additional Notes

• Certifications will be verified prior to interview
• Candidates without active CSA and CAD certifications will not be considered
• No exceptions for certification completion after hire
• Role is hands‑on development focused; architecture experience is not required
