SRE Support Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a technically strong and proactive Platform Engineer to join our Application Support team within the Platform Organization. This role will work closely with the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) function, supporting the build-out of SRE utilities and enhancing system reliability, observability, and automation across critical platforms.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical expertise with strong communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders from mid-level to senior management while driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the SRE team to support the development and implementation of reliability and observability solutions
• Monitor, analyze, and improve application performance, availability, and scalability
• Design and implement automation solutions to streamline operational processes
• Proactively identify system issues and implement preventative measures
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across applications and infrastructure
• Contribute to architectural discussions and recommend scalable, resilient solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, infrastructure, and business stakeholders
• Communicate technical findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience with Autosys (job scheduling and automation)
• Experience in database engineering, preferably with Oracle PL/SQL
• Prior experience working within a financial services or banking environment
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, preventative mindset
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Eligibility to convert to a full-time role if required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, ThousandEyes, or Aternity
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and/or OpenShift
• Exposure to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and practices
