Job Title: Planner/Scheduler
Contract Length: 12+ Month contract
Hybrid Work (Some on site work)

This is an onsite role responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction-related activities within electric delivery operations. The Planner/Scheduler will support work request management, material coordination, contractor oversight, and scheduling activities to ensure operational readiness and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Finalize work requests and complete additional requests for follow-up activities; reconcile material issues with Stores and Plant Accounting
- Provide planning, organizing, logistical, and coordination support to operations, including work request administration and coordination for scheduled and follow-up activities
- Monitor material and equipment availability to ensure work readiness
- Assist in optimizing construction-related operating resources across planning and scheduling disciplines
- Validate job plans, including job sequence, man-hour estimates, material and equipment needs, scheduling, and coordination requirements
- Oversee issuance of materials to contractors, including audits of contractor storage yards and ensuring timely material availability
- Maintain compliance with corporate guidelines for material storage and inventory control
- Manage reconciliation activities associated with contractor work requests
- Prepare a weekly four-week look-ahead schedule and participate in planning meetings
- Handoff construction documentation and schedules, including work requests, job plans, drawings, maps, and permits
- Assist project managers, design teams, and contractors with workload validation, job readiness, and resource availability
- Coordinate and support inventory audits, including scheduling, execution support, and record keeping
- Conduct ad hoc research, maintain records, and support budget-related activities, including tracking departmental metrics and compliance requirements
- Perform general administrative tasks such as coordinating petty cash, timekeeping, and budget support
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong Excel proficiency (Excel skills test required with submission)
- Administrative permitting experience
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of operations experience in underground and overhead distribution construction, including progressively more complex assignments
- A college degree may substitute for up to two years of related experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of methods, materials, and standard practices within electric delivery operations
- Understanding of construction, maintenance, and operations for transmission and distribution systems, including safe work practices
- Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to balance and optimize multiple work types
- Ability to work with GIS, work management systems (WORKPro), and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- Distribution operations experience
- Working knowledge of CIS
