QA / UAT Analyst – Payments Applications

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)
Duration: Contract (April 2026 – March 2027)

Overview

We are seeking a QA / UAT Analyst to support testing initiatives for payment applications. This role will focus on user acceptance testing (UAT), manual testing, and defect management to ensure new product features and system enhancements meet business and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong QA background, experience writing and executing test cases, and familiarity with defect tracking tools such as JIRA or Octane. Experience with payments or financial services applications is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new product features and application enhancements.

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

  • Conduct manual testing of applications, particularly related to payments systems.

  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, business analysts, and project managers to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.

  • Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as JIRA or Octane.

  • Generate and analyze test reports to assess product quality and testing outcomes.

  • Ensure applications meet business requirements, regulatory expectations, and quality standards.

  • Participate in Agile team meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.

  • Support risk management activities and ensure testing deliverables meet project timelines.

Required Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of professional experience in QA, testing, or UAT roles.

  • Experience with manual testing and user acceptance testing.

  • Experience developing test plans, test cases, and defect reports.

  • Familiarity with JIRA, Octane, or similar test management / defect tracking tools.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience testing payments or financial services applications.

  • Experience working in Agile environments.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
