This role supports due diligence and compliance operations by analyzing data, producing operational metrics, and ensuring accurate reporting aligned with regulatory expectations. The analyst will extract, validate, and interpret data from multiple sources to generate reporting on volumes, timeliness, backlogs, exceptions, and trends. The position requires close collaboration with compliance, risk, and operational teams to ensure reporting accurately reflects due diligence workflows and regulatory timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract, validate, and interpret operational data to produce accurate metrics including volumes, timeliness, backlogs, exceptions, and trends.
- Analyze large datasets from multiple sources to support due diligence reporting and operational performance monitoring.
- Develop and maintain reports, summaries, and dashboards for management, compliance, and audit stakeholders.
- Perform data cleansing and validation to ensure accuracy and integrity of reported metrics.
- Monitor recurring reporting cycles and respond to ad hoc data requests while meeting regulatory and operational deadlines.
- Identify data anomalies, investigate root causes of metric fluctuations, and address gaps in reporting logic or source systems.
- Collaborate with due diligence teams, compliance partners, technology teams, and risk management to clarify requirements and validate metrics.
- Document metric definitions, methodologies, assumptions, and exceptions to ensure alignment with governance and regulatory expectations.
- Support reporting that reflects due diligence workflows, regulatory timelines, and operational processes.
Required Qualifications
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to extract, validate, and interpret data to produce accurate metrics.
- Advanced Excel or data tooling proficiency including pivot tables, formulas (lookups, conditional logic), data cleansing, and basic automation.
- Understanding of due diligence and AML/KYC processes including customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, risk ratings, and regulatory timelines.
- Strong attention to detail and data integrity with a quality control mindset suitable for audits and regulatory examinations.
- Ability to understand end-to-end due diligence workflows and how metrics align to operational processes.
- Strong reporting and communication skills with the ability to translate raw data into clear summaries, dashboards, and narratives.
- Effective time management and ability to handle recurring reporting cycles and ad hoc requests simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an investigative approach to identifying data anomalies and root causes.
- Experience collaborating with due diligence teams, compliance partners, technology, and risk management stakeholders.
- Ability to document metric definitions, methodologies, assumptions, and exceptions to support governance and regulatory expectations.
