BTP Technical Product Manager
Detroit, MI (Hybrid/onsite T, W, Th)
W2 contract role
12 Months then eligible for Contract renewal

Role Summary

The SAP BTP Technical Product Manager serves as the strategic and technical influence for SAP’s cloud platform capabilities. This role drives the design, governance, innovation, and adoption of BTP services across the enterprise. The Technical Product Manager partners with business stakeholders, solution architects, developers, and project teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with SAP best practices and environment standards. The SAP BTP Technical Product Manager ensures the organization maximizes the value of SAP’s cloud platform by driving innovation, standardizing architectural approaches, and enabling scalable digital transformation across the business. 

Key Accountabilities 

• Responsible for platform expertise & strategy, adherence to governance and driving solution design standards 
• Perform design reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure best in class solutions 
• Ensures alignment with enterprise architecture and cloud strategy 
• Establish standards, and guardrails for development across BTP components 
• Works closely with development teams to build and support cloud native applications, APIs, workflows, and services on BTP 
• Ensure platform usage adheres to security, identity, and compliance standards  
• Communicate the BTP roadmap, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and cloud strategy 
• Promote and educate BTP capabilities and best practices across the organization  
• Oversee connectivity, upgrades, patches, certificates, destinations, entitlements, and tenant(s) administration 
• Reviews and provide operational input to the maintenance and support of the BTP environment  

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements 

• Associate degree and knowledge and capabilities typically acquired through at least 5+ years of experience in SAP technologies, including 3–5 years on SAP BTP 
• Deep knowledge of BTP Multi‑Cloud environments (Cloud Foundry/Kyma/ABAP) 
• Hands-on expertise with: Integration Suite (CPI/API Management) 
• HANA Cloud, HDI containers 
• Cloud connectors, destinations, OData, REST, OAuth 
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, DevOps, CI/CD, and security concept 
• Experience leading technical workshops, solution design sessions, project support implementation 

Preferred 

• SAP BTP certifications (e.g., Integration Suite, Extension Suite, HANA Cloud)
