Information Security Engineer 4 – Lead (Vulnerability Scanning & Cloud)

Location: Charlotte, NC (1525 W W T Harris Blvd), with optional locations in Chandler, AZ, and Las Colinas, TX
Duration: 3/23/2026 – 1/21/2027

Overview:

We are seeking a hands-on, lead-level Information Security Engineer to drive vulnerability management initiatives across enterprise-scale environments. This role requires expertise in vulnerability scanning, cloud-based security, and large-scale project execution. The ideal candidate will hit the ground running, lead deployment efforts, and collaborate across teams to implement secure, efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead planning and deployment of vulnerability management initiatives.

• Perform vulnerability scanning and assessment across enterprise IT and cloud environments.

• Focus on IoT/OT vulnerability scanning when applicable.

• Work hands-on with industry-standard tools such as Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7, or similar.

• Apply knowledge of CVE, CWE, and CVSS frameworks to evaluate security risks.

• Participate in Agile planning meetings and contribute to overall project execution.

• Optional: Implement automation and scripting solutions using Python, APIs, or related tools.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with security policies and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Information Security Engineering.

• Solid experience with vulnerability scanning tools and methodologies.

• Experience using Jira in an Agile delivery framework.

• Knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, etc.) and emerging security tools.

• Hands-on coding or scripting experience is a plus (Python, API automation).

• Comfortable leading teams and managing enterprise-scale security projects.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with IoT/OT vulnerability scanning.

• Strong understanding of CVE, CWE, and CVSS frameworks.

• Ability to implement process improvements and automate repetitive security tasks.

Work Environment:

• Hybrid/onsite schedule as required for project execution.

• Lead-level responsibilities with exposure to enterprise security operations and initiatives.
