The Copywriter Lead develops concepts and writes copy for a wide range of projects across digital channels. The role consults with sales and marketing representatives to gather information on products and services and determine requirements such as style, tone, and length of copy.
The position is responsible for editing or rewriting copy as necessary and preparing articles, bulletins, marketing materials, and promotional content. The role manages multiple projects simultaneously within tight deadlines and demonstrates creativity while adapting language and tone depending on the product and communication medium.
This role supports copy development across web and mobile channels, including public-facing web pages, digital claims transactions, and digital communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop concepts and write copy for a wide range of marketing and digital projects.
- Consult with sales and marketing representatives to gather information on products or services and determine copy requirements.
- Edit or rewrite copy as necessary.
- Prepare articles, bulletins, marketing materials, and promotional content.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously within tight deadlines.
- Demonstrate creativity and the ability to vary language and tone based on product and medium.
- Develop clear, concise, and user-centered copy for public-facing web pages aligned with brand voice.
- Create and update copy for digital claims transactions, including instructional text, error messages, confirmation messages, and workflow content.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, Researchers, and subject matter experts to ensure copy aligns with business goals, user needs, and technical constraints.
- Apply content strategy principles, including voice and tone guidelines, content hierarchy, and structured content best practices.
- Participate in content reviews, stakeholder walkthroughs, and cross-functional workshops, providing rationale for content recommendations.
- Manage multiple concurrent content requests across channels while maintaining consistency and quality.

Additional Information
- Experience with content development and user experience is desired.
