Senior Workday Financials Developer

Locations: Richmond, VA, NY, NY, Boston, MA, Plano, TX
Duration: ~6 Month Contract (Likely to Extend)

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Workday Financials Developer to support enterprise-level Workday Financials initiatives in a dynamic and collaborative environment. This role will focus on designing, developing, integrating, and optimizing Workday Financial modules while partnering closely with Finance, Accounting, and Technology teams.

The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on expertise in Workday Financials, strong integration experience, and the ability to independently manage complex enhancements and support initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance Workday Financials solutions

• Configure and support core financial modules (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Assets, Procurement, Expenses)

• Develop and maintain integrations using:

  • Workday Studio

  • EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder)

  • Core Connectors

  • Workday Web Services (REST/SOAP APIs)

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and scalable solutions

• Troubleshoot and resolve system defects, data issues, and performance challenges

• Support system upgrades, patches, and Workday releases

• Ensure compliance with enterprise security and financial controls

• Collaborate with Finance stakeholders to optimize workflows and reporting

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of ERP development experience

• 3+ years of hands-on Workday Financials development experience

• Strong understanding of Workday Financial modules and business processes

• Experience building integrations (Studio, EIB, APIs)

• Strong SQL and data transformation knowledge

• Experience supporting financial reporting and data reconciliation

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Workday Financials certification(s)

• Experience in enterprise-scale or regulated environments

• Exposure to Workday Prism Analytics or Workday Extend

• Agile/Scrum experience
