Agile Coach

Location:  Charlotte, NC
Duration: 12 Month Contract

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Agile Coach to partner with leaders, product managers, and engineering teams to enable effective Agile and product practices across the organization. This role will support complex transformation efforts by coaching teams and leaders, strengthening delivery capabilities, and embedding sustainable ways of working that drive business outcomes.

The Agile Coach will work across multiple teams, helping shape roadmaps, improve flow, and establish meaningful metrics—while fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise senior leaders, product leaders, and delivery teams on Agile, Lean, and product practices to support complex, large-scale transformation initiatives

  • Coach product and engineering teams on:

    • Product roadmaps and value-driven planning

    • Backlog creation, refinement, and prioritization

    • Iterative delivery and incremental value realization

    • Use of delivery and flow metrics to drive decision-making and improvement

  • Develop and execute tailored coaching plans based on team maturity, organizational goals, and delivery challenges

  • Identify and help resolve delivery impediments, dependency challenges, and systemic bottlenecks

  • Support and grow Agile and product communities of practice, fostering knowledge sharing and consistency across teams

  • Partner with leadership to promote Agile mindset shifts, team empowerment, and sustainable delivery practices

  • Model servant leadership and continuous improvement principles across engagements

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, Delivery Coach, or similar role supporting multiple teams

  • Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks and practices (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, SAFe, or hybrid models)

  • Hands-on experience coaching product and engineering teams in real-world delivery environments

  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and build trusted relationships at all levels

  • Strong facilitation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills

  • Experience supporting transformation initiatives in complex or large organizations

Preferred Experience

  • Coaching in product-centric or platform-based organizations

  • Experience using delivery metrics (flow, throughput, cycle time, predictability, OKRs) to guide improvement

  • Prior experience building or supporting Agile communities of practice

  • Agile or coaching certifications (e.g., ICP-ACC, ICP-ATF, SAFe SPC, CSM, CSPO)
