Job Title: Contract Administrator
Location: Tampa, FL
Duration: 12 Months
Pay Rate: $40/hr
The Contract Administrator supports the preparation, negotiation, award, and administration of contracts related to the maintenance, expansion, and modernization of electric and natural gas infrastructure.
This role supports a diverse portfolio of agreements including:
- Professional consulting services
- Software solutions and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) agreements
- License agreements and non-disclosure agreements
- Architect & engineering services
- Routine and major construction services
- Major engineered equipment purchases
Level placement (I or II) will be determined based on experience and demonstrated ability to manage contracts independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pre-procurement planning and sourcing strategy development
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including consulting agreements, software/SaaS agreements, NDAs, license agreements, and construction contracts
- Lead or support bid evaluations coordinating technical and commercial reviews
- Assist in developing scopes of work and contract specifications
- Negotiate change orders, amendments, and contract modifications
- Monitor contractor/vendor performance and invoice compliance
- Serve as liaison with Legal, Risk Management, and project teams
- Conduct due diligence on contractors and suppliers
- Maintain accurate contract documentation within ERP/contract management systems
- Support contract closeout activities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
Experience in contract administration, procurement, engineering, construction, IT services, or related field: - Level I: 2+ years
- Level II: 4+ years
- Experience drafting and administering contracts for professional services and/or technology agreements
- Understanding of contract types (lump sum, unit price, cost-plus, etc.)
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in utilities, energy, infrastructure, or regulated industries
- Experience negotiating software or SaaS agreements
- Knowledge of construction delivery methods (design-build, EPC, etc.)
- Experience with ERP or contract management systems (SAP preferred)
- Familiarity with contract management software and e-signature tools
