Job Title: Lead Information Security Engineer
Chandler, AZ
Pay $74/HR
We are seeking a hands-on Lead Information Security Engineer to support cloud security operations, automation, and findings management using Wiz or similar CNAPP platforms. This role will focus on alert engineering, security data analysis, automation development, and supporting remediation of cloud security risks across multi-cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform hands-on engineering and findings management within Wiz.
Configure and operationalize security alerts and monitoring workflows.
Build dashboards and reporting using PowerBI, Tableau, or similar tools.
Develop automation scripts and Python pipelines to analyze and enrich security and cloud datasets.
Partner with engineering and security teams to remediate vulnerabilities and automate findings resolution.
Provide expertise in application lifecycle security and cloud vulnerability management.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience.
2+ years working with Azure and/or Google Cloud security.
Experience with Wiz or similar cloud security/CNAPP tools.
Experience with scripting or automation (Python, Bash, Terraform, PowerShell).
Experience integrating cloud security tools with platforms like Splunk or ServiceNow.
Experience with reporting and visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau).
Strong understanding of IAM, data protection, and cloud security monitoring.
Strong analytical, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills.
Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban preferred).
5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience or equivalent combination of education, training, military, or work experience.
2+ years of hands-on experience securing Azure and/or Google Cloud environments, including platform services, configurations, and workload protection.
Experience with cloud security or CNAPP platforms.
Experience with scripting and automation using Python, Bash, Terraform, and/or PowerShell.
Experience integrating cloud security tools with enterprise platforms such as SIEM and ITSM tools.
Experience with reporting and data visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau.
Strong understanding of Identity & Access Management and data protection principles in cloud environments.
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, or similar).
Experience supporting cloud implementation, migration, or cloud security engineering initiatives.
Experience working with enterprise security tooling such as cloud workload protection, SIEM, or security monitoring platforms.
Experience working with databases such as MongoDB or similar.
Experience with enterprise security tools and platforms such as cloud detection and response, cloud posture management, or container security platforms.
Experience working in regulated industries such as financial services, utilities, healthcare, or government.
Familiarity with cloud and security risk frameworks such as CSA, CIS, or NIST.
Industry certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, CISM, CISA, CRISC, or CCSK.
Cloud certifications for Azure and/or Google Cloud.
Kubernetes or container security certifications (e.g., CKS).
