Project Manager (Network & Security Engineering)

Duration: 24 Months
Location: Irving, TX 
Work Authorization: W-2 Only

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in Network and Security Engineering to support enterprise infrastructure initiatives within a regulated environment. This role requires a hands-on understanding of network and security technologies, combined with the ability to manage projects through established lifecycle, governance, and control routines.

The ideal candidate will serve as a bridge between engineering teams, security partners, and governance stakeholders—ensuring projects, configurations, and implementations align with approved policies, standards, and compliance requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage infrastructure and security-related projects through established project lifecycle and governance routines

  • Coordinate planning, execution, tracking, and delivery of network and security initiatives

  • Review and interpret network and security policy documents, standards, and control requirements

  • Validate that network and security device configurations align with approved policies and security controls

  • Partner closely with Network Engineering and Security Engineering teams to assess technical risks and remediation plans

  • Facilitate governance reviews, control checkpoints, and documentation submissions

  • Track risks, issues, dependencies, and remediation actions to resolution

  • Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership

  • Ensure project deliverables meet operational, security, and compliance expectations


Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager supporting network and/or security engineering initiatives

  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and security technologies

  • Hands-on familiarity with networking and security appliances (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls)

  • Experience working within project lifecycle, governance, and control frameworks

  • Ability to review and assess policy documentation and technical configurations

  • Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in financial services or other regulated environments

  • Familiarity with change management, risk management, and audit processes

  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, actionable project plans


Certifications (Preferred / Strongly Desired)

  • Cisco CCNA or CCNP

  • CISSP

  • PMP or ITIL certification is a plus
