Inpatient Social Worker
Location: Jackson, MI 49201 (Onsite)
Role Type: W2 contract 3+ Months
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm

Duties- 

• The Social Worker works with the psychiatrist and interdisciplinary team in developing and managing treatment plans.
• Serves as liaison in relation to patient care and needs, between the hospital, community, and insurers to facilitate access to clinical treatment for individuals.
• Provides social services to both adult and child/adolescent patients.
• Services include but are not limited to bio-psychosocial assessments, discharge planning, individual and family education and group.
• Therapy Social Workers provides individual, conjoint, group and family psychotherapy; in addition to crisis intervention services, as needed.
• Ensures that the quality of care is safe, effective, patient centered timely, efficient and equitable.
• Social workers also serve on designated committees and as qualified, may serve as field instructors for social work.

Skills 

• 2-3 years social work experience.
• Previous recent inpatient behavioral health experience.
• Ability to perform intake assessment.
• Experience leading groups.
• Experience charting in EMR/EMH system.
• Preferred: EPIC charting experience.
• Candidates will be required to have weekend availability.

Education

• Graduation from an accredited school of social work with a master’s degree.

Required Certification & Licensure

• Current LMSW certification.
