Job Title: Technology Business Systems Consultant
Locations: Chandler, AZ and Charlotte, NC (Onsite)
Duration: 6+ Months
Role Type: W2 Contract Engagement
Overview:
In this contingent resource assignment, you will support Technology Business Systems Consulting by leading or contributing to the development, review, and maintenance of technical documentation, business procedures, and related materials. You will collaborate closely with peers and client stakeholders to ensure documentation accuracy, compliance, and accessibility across multiple platforms, including Windows and Mac OS environments. The ideal candidate will have strong writing, editing, and organizational skills, with experience leading documentation initiatives or serving as a team lead/escalation point.
Responsibilities:
- Lead or participate in the creation and implementation of documentation strategies, policies, and publication guidelines.
- Develop, edit, and maintain technical documentation, job aides, project artifacts, and training materials.
- Review and edit material authored by others to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance with established standards.
- Conduct procedure audits, manage documentation timelines, and oversee publication pipelines.
- Perform quality control assessments of documentation produced by the team.
- Recommend and document business procedures, best practices, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with business partners and clients to define documentation needs, audience, and delivery strategy.
- Identify process gaps, recommend improvements, and assist in developing operational documentation standards.
- Serve as a team lead or escalation point for documentation or process-related issues.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure documentation aligns with technology and business objectives.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Business Systems Data or Technology Business Systems Consulting experience, or equivalent through work, consulting, training, or education.
- Demonstrated experience in technical writing, documentation management, or publishing strategy.
- Proficiency in developing content for Windows and Mac OS platforms and related technologies.
- Strong editorial skills with attention to detail, structure, and compliance.
- Ability to perform quality assurance reviews on technical content.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
- Proven ability to lead or coordinate documentation projects and mentor team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) or document publishing tools.
- Familiarity with technology consulting, business process mapping, or procedural governance.
- Experience supporting enterprise-level documentation initiatives in regulated or large-scale environments.
