Position Summary:
Will partner closely with operations and project management teams to identify, design, and implement process optimization initiatives. This role requires a strong command of Lean Six Sigma methodologies, statistical analysis, and process engineering tools to drive measurable gains in efficiency, quality, and productivity. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of using data-driven insights and facilitation techniques to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and enhance organizational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with operational teams to perform value stream mapping and time-motion studies to uncover improvement opportunities.
- Conduct Lean Six Sigma reviews to identify Non-Value Adds (NVA), redundancies, and process gaps, and lead cost-benefit analyses for proposed initiatives.
- Develop, maintain, and track performance scorecards and other tools to measure the success of process improvement initiatives.
- Design and update metrics that more effectively capture operational performance and throughput.
- Facilitate workshops for operations managers focused on brainstorming, critical thinking, and business process redesign.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior analysts on business process reengineering (BPR) and business process improvement (BPI) tools.
- Advise project and program managers on resource optimization to ensure consistency and efficiency across teams.
- Assess and recommend Process Excellence (PE) best practices and performance reporting improvements within the Strategic Delivery Program Office.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Process Design & Improvement: Minimum 6 years of experience developing and implementing process improvement strategies that influence stakeholder commitment and deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Lean Six Sigma & Data Analysis: Minimum 6 years of experience applying Lean Six Sigma, statistics, data analysis, and process engineering tools such as SIPOC, VOC, Process Mapping, and Process Requirements.
- Strong analytical and facilitation skills with a history of successful process transformation initiatives.
Technical Tools:
- ARIS: Process mapping, documentation, and archival.
- Microsoft Office Suite: Data analysis, visualization, and collaboration.
- Mural: Strategic planning, workshop facilitation, and collaborative process design.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in modernizing insurance claims processes using Generative AI, data-driven predictive response models, and member-centric design principles.
- Advanced certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher).
