Process Engineer
Location: San Antonio, TX
Duration: 6 Month Contract
Pay: Up to $55/hr W2 ONLY
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and maintenance of process maps for key processes within the Financial Crimes organization.
- Conduct process assessments to identify areas for improvement and optimization, and facilitate process improvement initiatives, implementing changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather data and accurately document processes using appropriate notation (e.g., BPMN).
- Develop and deliver training materials to educate staff on improved processes.
- Identify and assess process risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Maintain process documentation, ensuring accuracy and currency.
- Work with technology teams to integrate process improvements into systems and applications.
- Support the organization's ongoing efforts to improve compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Suggest improvements to mature, primarily manual control environments.
- Suggest and implement automation improvements to manual controls using RPA and/or AI solutions.
Required Skills and Experience:- 3+ years of experience in process engineering with a track record of designing and implementing process improvements.
- 2+ years of experience working in a financial crimes or financial regulatory compliance environment; Experience with Fraud, Disputes, and credit business processes and controls.
- Deep understanding of process mapping methodologies and notation (e.g., BPMN).
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written, listening), with the ability to distill complex information.
- Proven experience delivering multiple priorities against aggressive timelines.
- Self-starter with experience independently finding solutions in ambiguous environments.
- Intermediate experience using Visio for process flow diagrams.
- Intermediate to expert level experience with Jira, structure, and reporting.
- Good relationship builder with experience working in a matrix environment; Experience working with BA's.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, rules, and regulations (e.g., BSA/AML, OFAC, Reg E, Reg Z, etc).
