Software Engineer (Full Stack / Core Java)

Location: Iselin, NJ (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Duration: 12 Months (W2 Contract Only)

About the Role

Strategic Staffing Solutions (S3) is seeking a Software Engineer (Full Stack/Core Java) for a W2 contract opportunity with one of our largest financial services clients. This role will be heavily focused on hands-on coding (85–90%) and will play a key part in supporting multiple products across various stages of development within the Repo-Technology team. The team is building out new product lines and expanding into new global markets, providing a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance applications within the capital markets and financial services domain.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions supporting multiple product lines.

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using Core Java, Spring Boot, and ReactJS.

• Develop and optimize SQL Server and MongoDB queries for performance and scalability.

• Utilize messaging technologies such as JMS, TIBCO, or Solace to build data pipelines between distributed systems.

• Contribute to the design and implementation of microservices architecture.

• Leverage DevOps tools (GIT, CICD, EPL) for automated builds, deployments, and continuous integration.

• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and agile ceremonies.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on programming experience in Core Java, including:

  • Data structures

  • Algorithms

  • Multithreading

  • Exception handling

• Experience with financial systems, capital markets, or banking environments.

• Proficiency in Spring Boot and ReactJS scripting.

• Advanced SQL and MongoDB skills, with the ability to write efficient, optimized queries.

• Experience with messaging systems such as JMS, TIBCO, or Solace.

• Strong understanding of software design principles and microservices architecture.
