Job Summary

The Senior Power BI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing enterprise reporting and analytics solutions using Microsoft Power BI. SAP experience is required, and Snowflake integration experience is preferred. This role requires a strong background working with complex data sets to create solutions that improve business processes and enable data-driven decision making.

This individual will report to the Principal Finance Improvement team and will be responsible for designing, building, and operating our Power BI solutions. This role will enhance internal practices and processes for building, deploying, supporting, and maintaining solutions from inception to operations. The ideal candidate will proactively identify opportunities where Power BI can deliver cost-effective and standardized solutions.

Role and Responsibilities

• · Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, including designing visuals and metrics, data visualization, and analytics to monitor business performance and identify areas for improvement.
• · Ensure that work is tracked and managed through Azure DevOps, including version control and repo functionality.
• · Oversee and support the connection of third-party APIs to centralized data systems.
• · Gather and document user requirements and translate them into application and dashboard design.
• · Establish a robust Power BI environment strategy.
• · Perform day-to-day maintenance, enhancements, and troubleshooting of Power BI solutions, including issue resolution or escalation.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• · 5+ years of related technical work experience, with 3+ years developing Power BI solutions.
• · Experience with SAP.
• · Advanced knowledge of Power BI, data modeling, Dataverse, and database design.
• · Experience with common data services, data connectors, and APIs.
• · Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• · Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills

• · Microsoft Power BI certification.
• · Strong design skills to create visually appealing and user-friendly dashboards.
• · Experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
