We are seeking an experienced Senior Desktop Analyst to join our team on a project-based assignment focused on vulnerability remediation, desktop application consolidation, and process improvements. This role will play a key part in reducing risk across the enterprise desktop environment while streamlining application management practices.
The successful candidate will collaborate with analysts, business stakeholders, and IT teams to remediate vulnerabilities, automate solutions, consolidate applications, and implement scalable processes that ensure compliance and operational stability.
Vulnerability Remediation
Remediate backlog of desktop vulnerabilities including OS patches, .NET, and other desktop applications.
Build deployment packages and automate remediation efforts.
Partner with business stakeholders to ensure remediations do not disrupt critical operations.
Application Management
Catalog all desktop applications to identify vetted, approved, and risk-assessed software.
Consolidate and reduce application footprint by eliminating redundant or overlapping tools.
Implement and enforce a standardized application request process through ServiceNow.
Troubleshooting & Support
Provide Tier 3+ escalation support for remediation issues, networking, group policy, and security concerns.
Collaborate with IT teams to resolve complex issues quickly and effectively.
Process & Governance
Contribute to developing policies and processes that enforce application requirements and security standards.
Support ongoing improvements in vulnerability management, desktop security, and software lifecycle governance.
6+ years of enterprise-level IT technical experience.
Expertise in Microsoft SCCM for packaging and deploying applications.
Proven experience in desktop vulnerability remediation (OS & applications).
Enterprise-level Tier 3 desktop analyst support background.
Project management experience with the ability to coordinate remediation initiatives across teams.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy.
Microsoft desktop technology expertise (Windows 10+, M365).
PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
Exposure to networking and security-related desktop escalation support.
Required: Minimum of 6 years of demonstrated technical experience aligned with responsibilities above.
