Location: Tampa, FL (Statewide Travel Required)
Schedule: Monday–Thursday onsite at Midtown Office; Fridays remote | 8am–5pm (flexible)
Duration: 12 Month Contract
Pay: $35-40/hr, W2 ONLY, NO C2C
Peoples Gas System is seeking a Supply Chain Facilities Services Project Manager to manage and execute capital and operational projects across 14 utility facilities throughout Florida. This role serves as a key link between facilities services and supply chain operations, ensuring warehouse improvements, infrastructure upgrades, equipment installations, and vendor integrations are delivered on time, on budget, and in alignment with business objectives.
The ideal candidate will bring strong project management expertise, facilities operations experience, and a solid understanding of supply chain processes in the utility or energy sector.
Lead planning and delivery of facility-related projects including warehouse redesigns, MHE installations, HVAC upgrades, office build-outs, and site improvements.
Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle: scope, budget, schedule, risk management, and closeout.
Align facilities projects with supply chain performance objectives (inventory flow, safety stock, material handling efficiency).
Partner with supply chain teams to optimize warehouse layouts, racking, safety protocols, and material storage.
Enhance distribution/yard operations to improve logistics readiness and space utilization.
Drive standardization of facility operations across all 14 statewide locations.
Source, negotiate, and manage contractors, vendors, and suppliers for construction, maintenance, and service contracts.
Oversee bidding processes, contract compliance, and procurement alignment.
Ensure timely, high-quality service delivery.
Ensure adherence to building codes, environmental regulations, OSHA standards, and utility industry guidelines.
Partner with EHS teams to maintain safety excellence across all projects.
Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost-control measures.
Provide leadership with regular updates on project milestones, risks, and performance metrics.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
5+ years of project management experience in facilities or supply chain infrastructure (utility, industrial, or logistics preferred).
Proven success managing multiple projects across geographically distributed locations.
Certifications (Preferred):
PMP (Project Management Professional)
LEED, CFM, FMP, or SCPro Certification
OSHA 30-hour Certification
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of warehouse and distribution center operations.
Familiarity with building systems (HVAC, electrical, security, etc.).
Ability to interpret construction and technical drawings.
Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Smartsheet, Procore, etc.).
Excellent negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to travel statewide up to 20%.
