Specialty Software Engineer

Location: Charlotte, NC

Pay Rate: $90-$95

We are looking for an experienced Specialty Software Engineer to lead complex initiatives with broad organizational impact. This role requires deep expertise in ServiceNow development, strong software engineering skills, and the ability to deliver scalable, compliant solutions.

Responsibilities

• Consult on large-scale engineering initiatives and provide technical direction.
• Design, develop, and optimize solutions in ServiceNow.
• Build and enhance integrations, reporting, and dashboards.
• Develop enterprise applications using Java, JavaScript, Spring, Python, REST APIs, and distributed technologies.
• Apply best practices in query optimization, UI frameworks, and microservices design.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance, security, and performance standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience OR equivalent through work, consulting, military service, or education.
• 5+ years of ServiceNow development (advanced JavaScript, ServiceNow APIs).
• Strong experience with integrations, reporting, and dashboards.
• 3+ years of application development with Java, distributed systems, and cloud/on-premises environments.
• Proficiency in Java/JEE, Spring, JavaScript, Python, REST APIs. Knowledge of UI frameworks and microservices design patterns
