Job Title: ServiceNow Software Engineer (CMDB / Discovery)

Clearance/Certifications Required: Current ServiceNow CSA (Certified System Administrator) and CAD (Certified Application Developer)
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Software Engineer to support CMDB maturity initiatives and contribute to moderately complex software engineering deliverables. In this contingent resource role, you will collaborate with internal teams to design, develop, and enhance ServiceNow solutions with a strong emphasis on CMDB, Discovery, APIs, integrations, and scoped applications. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a strategic effort to enhance ServiceNow platform maturity and data quality.
Participate in and consult on moderately complex software engineering initiatives with an emphasis on ServiceNow platform enhancements.
Support large-scale planning for software engineering deliverables and consult with stakeholders on business and technical requirements.
Analyze and resolve complex issues related to APIs, scoped applications, scripting, and CMDB configuration and maintenance.
Leverage deep knowledge of ServiceNow Discovery and asset management practices to ensure accurate and reliable data in the CMDB.
Design and implement Service Requests, business rules, and workflows within scoped applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure deliverables meet compliance and functional expectations.
Maintain documentation of configurations and customizations in accordance with policy and governance frameworks.
Apply solid knowledge of ServiceNow development best practices and ITSM/ITOM principles.
4+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through consulting, military, or educational background.
3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience, including:
APIs and integration development
Scoped applications and scripting
CMDB management and ServiceNow Discovery
Creation and maintenance of Service Requests and business rules
Current ServiceNow certifications required:
CSA – Certified System Administrator
CAD – Certified Application Developer
