Equity Derivative & Structuring Operations Analyst

Location:  Salt Lake City, UT - Onsite
Pay:  $23/hr W2 
Contract Length:  6 Months
Industry: Financial Services / Investment Banking

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Equity Derivative & Structuring Operations Analyst to support equity derivatives trading operations. This role involves coordinating with trading desks, legal teams, and external counsel to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant derivative trade documentation. The successful candidate will support operational strategy, regulatory adherence, and system enhancements across the Derivatives Confirmation Platform (DCP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review legal documentation for non-standard derivative trades in coordination with Trading, Legal, and external counsel.

  • Ensure confirmations align with ISDA Definitions, Supplements, and Master Confirmation Agreements.

  • Partner with the Equity Derivatives Trading Desk to assess the operational impact of new business initiatives and drive business plan execution.

  • Support daily trading operations and resolve trade discrepancies to ensure strong client service.

  • Translate evolving regulatory requirements into actionable functional requirements and advise the business accordingly.

  • Collaborate with Technology and Operations on projects aimed at improving scalability and efficiency of the Derivatives Confirmation Platform (DCP).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of derivatives and financial markets (coursework, training, or internships are a plus).

  • Excellent attention to detail, with strong organizational and documentation skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to build relationships across functions.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with legal or trading platforms is a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business, or a related field.
