Job Title: Operations for Derivative Trades
Location: Charlotte, NC
Job Type: On Site
We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Execution Consultant to support confirmation drafting, review, and reconciliation for a wide range of derivative products. This role is critical in mitigating financial and operational risks by ensuring trade accuracy, regulatory compliance, and effective communication across legal, compliance, and trading teams.
Draft, review, and verify trade confirmations for a variety of complex financial instruments, including:
Commodity, Credit, Equity, and Rates Derivatives
Foreign Exchange (FX) Products
Reconcile trade activity by comparing documentation with the trade capture system of record, identifying and resolving discrepancies to avoid financial losses.
Ensure confirmation accuracy, completeness, and inclusion of protective and fallback clauses as required.
Collaborate with legal, compliance, and business stakeholders to develop and revise confirmation templates in alignment with ISDA protocols and regulatory requirements.
Maintain awareness of market developments and regulatory changes impacting OTC derivatives; participate in internal and external working groups (e.g., ISDA).
Drive process improvements in control, documentation, and operational efficiency.
Support system enhancement initiatives by working closely with project teams to define requirements and perform user acceptance testing (UAT).
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (data reconciliation, formulas, etc.)
Solid knowledge of derivative products and OTC confirmation processes
Strong understanding of ISDA documentation standards
Prior experience drafting or processing OTC confirmations
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Experience with capital markets operations
Exposure to OTC derivatives lifecycle and risk mitigation practices
Background in banking or financial services (e.g., trading firms such as Vanguard)
Familiarity with ISDA protocols and regulatory reporting
