Job Title:Data Intelligence Engineer – Bridging Data Engineering & Generative AI
Contract: 18 Months
Location: Charlotte, NC On-Site Schedule
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Intelligence Engineer to bridge the worlds of data engineering and Generative AI to drive operational excellence across the organization. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data systems while leveraging Generative AI technologies to enhance business processes and improve decision-making capabilities.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, process excellence, and operations teams, to deliver innovative solutions that improve productivity, streamline workflows, and provide deeper insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Engineering & Intelligence (50%)
Design, develop, and implement scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to handle both structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
Integrate data from various Enterprise Systems of Record (SORs) and workflow tools to create end-to-end visibility of business processes.
Build and maintain comprehensive data models, data warehouses, and data lakes to support reporting and analysis.
Collaborate with business analysts and teams to develop interactive dashboards and real-time performance metrics for operational decision-making.
Ensure high-quality data management by using SQL, Python, and Vertica SQL for data quality checks, lineage tracking, and transformation tasks.
Generative AI & Advanced Analytics (50%)
Customize and deploy Generative AI applications using approved large language models (LLMs) for use cases such as process mining, task mining summarization, and anomaly detection.
Integrate organizationally approved foundation models (e.g., Llama, Google Gemini, etc.) into Agentic task-based workflows to enhance process automation and decision-making.
Partner with the Process Excellence and Operations teams to ideate, innovate, and deploy AI-powered solutions to improve business processes and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics, or AI-focused roles, with a proven track record of delivering impactful data solutions.
Hands-on experience with process mining tools (e.g., Celonis, UiPath Process Mining or similar platforms).
Proven expertise in building cloud-based data pipelines, ideally with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (including BigQuery, Dataflow), or equivalent cloud technologies.
Strong programming skills in SQL and Python for data manipulation, transformation, and quality assurance tasks.
Familiarity with Generative AI technologies, including working knowledge or hands-on experience with LLMs (e.g., Llama, Google Gemini, OpenAI), and vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, FAISS).
Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional process improvement initiatives, translating data insights into actionable business decisions.
Strong business acumen and the ability to effectively communicate data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have:
Knowledge of RAG architectures and enterprise chatbot solutions.
Familiarity with Agentic AI solutions or frameworks and their application to business process automation.
