Title: RAN / Deployment Engineer – Nokia AirScaleLocation: Denver, CO (Local/Field)Duration: 12+ MonthsRole Type: W2 Contract EngagementJob Summary:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Radio Access Network (RAN) Engineer with specialized expertise in Nokia AirScale solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, deployment, optimization, and maintenance of our mobile telecommunications network, ensuring robust and efficient wireless communication services.Key Responsibilities:- Network Design and Planning: Develop and implement RAN strategies, focusing on Nokia AirScale architecture, to enhance network performance and capacity.
- Deployment and Integration: Lead the commissioning and integration of Nokia AirScale equipment, ensuring seamless implementation within the existing network infrastructure.
- Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize the RAN to improve key performance indicators (KPIs), including coverage, capacity, and quality of service.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve complex network issues related to RAN, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and methodologies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including core network engineers, project managers, and external vendors, to support network expansion and upgrade projects.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, processes, and performance reports.
- Compliance: Ensure all RAN activities comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Qualifications:- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in RAN engineering, with a proven track record in deploying and managing Nokia AirScale solutions.
- Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Nokia AirScale products and architecture.
- Proficiency in LTE, 4G, and 5G technologies and standards.
- Experience with network planning and optimization tools.
- Strong understanding of RF principles and propagation.
- Managing inventory for integration.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:- Familiarity with scripting languages for automation purposes.
- Knowledge of IP networking and protocols.
Physical Requirements:- Ability to travel to various sites as needed.
- Capability to work in diverse environments, including outdoor settings and technical facilities.
