Job Summary:

The Institutional Oversight (IO) team within Client Operations is responsible for managing all aspects of institutional account onboarding, portfolio accounting, cash management, and client reporting. Acting as a single point of contact for operational client inquiries, the team supports portfolio managers, sales, and client relationship professionals by ensuring accurate and timely client account information. The role involves working across various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, currencies, and derivatives, while providing oversight on operational risk.

This position requires extensive interaction with both internal and external stakeholders to enhance the client experience and ensure seamless operational processes. The Analyst will play a crucial role in coordinating new client onboarding, managing operational risk, and supporting ongoing business development efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary operations point of contact for institutional client accounts.

  • Coordinate and oversee client account events, ensuring systems and operational workflows are properly established.

  • Collaborate with custodians, prime brokers, and counterparties to manage service requests and operational flows.

  • Interpret legal and business requirements to determine operational service standards and ensure compliance.

  • Maintain accurate accounting data and oversee investment management controls.

  • Proactively identify and resolve operational issues before they impact clients.

  • Analyze account-level metrics (e.g., cash/position reconciliations, NAV reconciliations, failing trades, corporate actions) to ensure accuracy.

  • Provide thought leadership on evolving financial regulations and contribute to process automation and system improvements.

  • Utilize process reengineering methodologies to develop efficient solutions for operational challenges.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written & verbal).

  • Ability to work collaboratively and build consensus across teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in Operations or Financial Services.

  • Experience working across multiple product groups, regions, and functions.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage tight deadlines under pressure.

  • Risk management mindset with a focus on mitigating operational risks.
