Clinical Intake Analyst – REMOTE

Must live in Idaho, Utah, or Oregon

6 months contract to hire - $22-24/hr W2

This role may be asked to work the weekend shift, including Saturday and Sunday.

If asked to work the weekend shift, the person in this role will have options for which two days of the week they would like to have off

• Education & Experience: High School Diploma/GED with 1+ year in customer service or equivalent experience.
• Healthcare Knowledge: Basic medical terminology, healthcare benefits, and clinical document evaluation.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet search.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
• Familiarity with health care benefits, systems and documentation.
• Ability to evaluate clinical documents and forward to others for resolution.
• Schedule Flexibility: Available for weekends evenings past 6 p.m. and overtime as needed.
• Hands on experience with data entry into EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, etc.

Day to Day:

• Serves as first point of contact for incoming clinical documents related to Utilization Management, Care Management, Disease Management, and Appeals.
• Organizes, processes, and images documents while ensuring HIPAA and privacy compliance.
• Uses expertise to triage inquiries and route work  for processing.
• Researches and processes incoming documents related to UM, CM, DM, and appeals, using knowledge of member benefits to assign correct workflows.
• Distributes work to meet deadlines, images documents in compliance with HIPAA, and manages high volumes of inquiries.
• Adheres to quality and timeliness standards, supports urgent appeals during long weekends, and performs basic administrative tasks such as equipment maintenance and inventory management.
