Job Title: Data Management Analyst
Location: Minneapolis, MN (On-Site Required)
Duration: 6 months
Job/Role Description:
- Covers jobs that drive oversight, governance, and management of critical data to support business needs, initiatives, and strategies.
- Consult with data product, data integrity, technology, and business partners to set standards, policies and practices for data flow, data framework, data access, documentation, quality and remediation.
- Consult as an expert to develop or influence initiatives and resources for highly complex business and technical needs across Data Management.
- Consult on the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, and advanced analytical and inductive thinking.
- Provide expertise to senior leadership on innovative Data Management business solutions.
- Additional responsibilities may include data management, data lineage/metadata, data controls; experience in data control governance; data defect/issue/deficiency remediation; documenting data flows/process flows.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
- Must have experience requirements gathering and data analysis.
- Needs to be a self-starter.
- Ideal candidate will be someone who has a strong understanding of the requirements analysis lifecycle, Data analysis, Financial experience and strong foundational RDBMS expertise. The emphasis is on business and data analysis, as opposed to a technology skillset (developers, DBS, etc.).
- Work effort coordination/management experience, current process assessment and improvement experience.
- Experience writing business requirements as JIRA stories, working in agile environment.
- Strong data profiling and data analytics.
- Strong SQL writing experience (joins, unions, sub-queries).
- Experience understanding pseudo SQL code and reverse engineer them to write tech requirements.
