Job Title: Senior Cloud Engineer – GCP & Kubernetes

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes (GKE), and Terraform to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure while implementing best practices for security, scalability, and automation. This role requires deep experience with Kubernetes cluster management, infrastructure as code (Terraform), networking, and storage solutions within GCP environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage GCP infrastructure, including GKE, BigQuery, GCS, Filestore, IAM, and networking components.

• Architect and maintain Kubernetes clusters and container orchestration with deep expertise in Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, ensuring scalable, reliable, and repeatable infrastructure provisioning.

• Configure and manage scalable storage solutions, including GCP Filestore, GCS, and BigQuery.

• Lead cloud migration initiatives, including operating in hybrid cloud environments.

• Ensure adherence to GCP security best practices, including IAM roles, service accounts, and secrets management.

• Design and implement networking solutions, including VPC design, private networking, ingress/egress configurations, and load balancing in GCP.

• Deploy and operate SAS Analytics products within cloud environments.

• Collaborate with software development, DevOps, and security teams to enhance CI/CD pipelines and automate cloud processes.

• Follow agile methodologies and best practices in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Troubleshoot and optimize cloud environments for performance, cost efficiency, and reliability.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with GCP services including GKE, BigQuery, GCS, Filestore, IAM, and networking or similar cloud technologies.

• 4+ years of experience in building Kubernetes clusters and container orchestration with deep expertise in GKE.

• 4+ years of experience using Terraform for infrastructure as code, including complex cluster provisioning in production settings.

• 3+ years of experience configuring and managing scalable storage solutions in GCP.

• 3+ years of experience with VPC design, private networking, ingress/egress configurations, and load balancing in GCP.

• Experience working on cloud migration projects, including hybrid cloud operations.

• Strong knowledge of GCP best practices related to IAM roles, service accounts, and security policies.

• Experience with SAS Analytics products (preferred).

• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work in a highly matrixed environment.

• GCP or Kubernetes certifications (preferred).
