Job Title: Software Engineer - Data and Model Lifecycle

Location: Charlotte, NC
Pay:  $70-75/hr - W2 ONLY
Duration:  12+ Months Contract

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Software Engineer - Data and Model Lifecycle to partner with the Model Development and Governance team to ensure compliance with the model lifecycle and secure model approval before use. The ideal candidate will actively participate in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including requirement gathering, design, development, testing, and technical design. This role requires strong Python programming, database development, and data processing skills, as well as proficiency with DevOps tools and technologies like Spark, Django, Jenkins, API, Postgres SQL, and Power BI.

The successful candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and possess 4-6 years of hands-on experience in Python development, database systems, and big data environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Model Development and Governance team to ensure model lifecycle compliance and obtain model approval.
  • Contribute to all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Develop and integrate applications using Python, Spark, Django, Jenkins, API, and CI/CD DevOps tools.
  • Work with Postgres SQL and other database systems to manage and manipulate data.
  • Design and develop Power BI reports and perform data ETL operations.
  • Implement and maintain containerized environments using Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Leverage Google Cloud Platform for cloud-based solutions and data integration.
  • Develop and maintain efficient data pipelines and big data query capabilities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues throughout the development and deployment process.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of hands-on experience with Python, API development, and big data processing.
  • Experience with Apache Spark, Kubernetes, Docker, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Proficiency in Postgres SQL and database development.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and tools like Jenkins.
  • Experience with Django and Power BI report development.
