Senior Director of Data Analytics

DIRECT HIRE/ PERMANENT OPPORTUNITY

New York City, NY or Jersey City, NJ
Salary range $200K - $300K – hybrid role in office/home

We are seeking a Senior Director of Data Analytics in a direct hire opportunity with a global financial institution. This role is a critical blend of hands on technical work within data analytics and 30% Leadership/C-Level engagement

The right candidates will have the following background:

• Strong hands-on expertise, especially in data architecture, cloud data modernization, data migration, and event-driven architecture.
• A balance of at least 70% technical work and 30% architectural design is essential.
• Significant experience leading teams and working with senior executives, such as Chief Data Officers (CDOs).
• Experience in consulting environments and managing multiple stakeholders is critical for this position.
• Must have a deep understanding of technologies such as Snowflake, Kafka, and Databricks, along with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google), and various integration tools.
• Experience with Databricks and the Unity Catalog to support medallion architecture is also a must.
• Must have the ability to think strategically while executing tactically, managing ambiguity, and aligning solutions with business goals.
