Information Security Specialist – Sensitive Data Management (SDM)
Location: San Antonio, TX (On-site)
Pay: $35-40/hr - W2 Only
Duration: 5+ months
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Information Security Specialist - Sensitive Data Management (SDM) to join our Enterprise Data Management (EDM) SDM team. This role will focus on ensuring the security, governance, and proper management of sensitive data across the organization. The specialist will play a key role in data discovery, classification, remediation, and risk management, helping the organization maintain compliance and data integrity. The ideal candidate will have experience in data loss prevention (DLP), security issue remediation, and data discovery tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, classify, and protect sensitive data using data discovery and classification tools.
- Support and enhance data loss prevention (DLP) scanning processes to mitigate security risks.
- Analyze and remediate security issues related to sensitive data management across various platforms (SQL, Snowflake, Salesforce, Talon).
- Participate in technical discussions and support Agile sprint objectives to achieve business and security goals.
- Automate manual processes where applicable, advising on improvements and leveraging Python skills if available.
- Conduct risk assessments for complex projects, identifying and mitigating potential security threats.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure proper data governance, compliance, and adherence to security standards.
- Maintain, interpret, and contribute to Sensitive Data Security governance policies and standards.
- Resolve security-related work assignments via ServiceNow and other tracking systems.
- Stay current with the latest trends in data security, vulnerabilities, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 1+ year experience in Data Discovery and Management.
- 1+ year experience in Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
- 1+ year experience in Data-Centric Security Issue Remediation.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Snowflake, Salesforce, and Talon.
- Preferred: ISC2 CISSP Certification.
