Title: L3 Support SpecialistLocation: Detroit, MI (Hybrid/3 days in office T, W, Th)Duration: 12+ MonthsRole Type: W2 contract engagementJob DescriptionThe L3 Support Specialist is an advanced technical role responsible for managing complex IT incidents and performing high-level engineering tasks. Acting as the final escalation point, this specialist will handle advanced troubleshooting, system imaging, patching, Citrix administration, and SCCM packaging. The role demands a deep technical expertise, a proactive approach to problem solving, and the ability to work collaboratively with L2 support and other teams to drive continuous service improvement.Key Responsibilities- Advanced Troubleshooting: Serve as the escalation point for complex incidents that exceed the capabilities of L1.5 and L2 support teams.
- Execute advanced engineering tasks including Citrix administration, system imaging, patching, and SCCM packaging.
- Diagnose and resolve high-level technical issues efficiently to restore normal service operations.
- Work closely with L2 teams to develop, refine, and document troubleshooting procedures and best practices.
- Identify process gaps and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing service quality and reducing costs.
- Document solutions and contribute to a centralized knowledge base to support ongoing training and enablement efforts.
- Ensure systems are consistently maintained and updated through regular patching, imaging, and preventive measures.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Extensive experience (typically 3+ years) in advanced technical support, system administration, or a similar role.
- Proven expertise in Citrix administration, SCCM packaging, imaging, patching, and complex troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of managing high-pressure, complex incidents.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or Citrix Certified Professional are advantageous.
