Job Title: Data  Analyst

Location: Charlotte, NC
Pay:  $60-65/hr W2 ONLY
Duration:  12+ Months

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Customer Data Delivery Analyst to join the Customer Data Delivery team, contributing to key business initiatives by leveraging data to address complex problems. The successful candidate will play a critical role in our clients ongoing migration from on-premise databases to cloud architecture. Collaborating with business leaders and IT delivery teams, the Analyst will translate customer data insights into actionable strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

The ideal candidate is analytically-minded, self-motivated, and a skilled communicator, capable of building effective relationships across various teams and organizational levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate across departments to develop data strategies that enhance business processes.
  • Work independently to explore customer databases (on-prem and cloud-based) and identify actionable insights.
  • Translate business initiatives into data engineering tasks, ensuring alignment with business stakeholders and IT teams.
  • Author functional report designs, test scenarios, and test cases for analytics and reporting needs.
  • Explore and analyze datasets for anomalies, informing data engineering methods for migration.
  • Capture and document source/target dataset metadata and manage technical documents like ETL mappings and data dictionaries.
  • Leverage APIs to extract and integrate data from external sources into existing systems.
  • Perform data validations to ensure successful migration and document data quality test results.
  • Create training documentation, job aids, and communicate findings regularly with team members and leadership.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • SQL Expertise: Intermediate to advanced SQL skills with experience in querying large datasets.
  • Analytical Acumen: Strong exploratory analysis skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organization: Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities with minimal oversight.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to build and maintain relationships across teams and with executives.
  • Visualization Tools: Experience developing, optimizing, and maintaining data visualizations using tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Testing Expertise: Familiarity with product usability and test case development, including traceability matrix maintenance.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated success in managing projects or improving processes.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, Google BigQuery).
  • Knowledge of stream processing platforms (e.g., Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, AWS Kinesis).
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, CSS).
  • Familiarity with statistical programming languages (e.g., SAS, R, SciPy).
